SWIFTReady Application Page
Workers’ Remittances are generally low value
payments made by workers to their families in far away locations, in
the same country, or across border. The payment instructions are
generally made by the sender’s bank to banks having branches or
agents in or nearby the beneficiary’s cities and villages.
AEG Remit-Pro Application is designed to function as a middleware for
the SWIFTNet Worker’s Remittances service. It assures the
integration of the back-office system with the Alliance products
(Gateway and Access). Low value payment transactions made ready for
sending to the participant banks, will be captured by the AEG
Remit-Pro application, checked against the WRAG rule book
guidelines, converted from the back-office proprietary format to ISO
20022 and sent to the participant bank via the Alliance gateway
using FileAct in store and forward mode.
The application manages
the communication with SAG for sending and receiving the files.
Remit-Pro has a powerful tool for monitoring,
error tracking, reference data search and management.
Fast, Efficient, and Cost-effective Interbank Clearing and Settlement for Person -to- Person Payments
SWIFTNet Workers’ Remittances Service is designed to support the specific requirements of financial institutions that offer, cross-border, person-to-person and low-value payments services. The development of the Service was driven by an industry need to better use existing correspondent banking infrastructure to serve the needs of this market.
SWIFTNet Workers’ Remittances utilize SWIFTNet FileAct services and ISO 20022 message standards to exchange payment orders with other banks.
AEG Remit-Pro Functionality
The Workers’ Remittances are generally low value payments made by workers to their families in the same country in different cities and villages or cross border. The payments’ instructions are generally made by the sender’s bank to banks having branches
or agents in or nearby the beneficiary’s cities and villages. The delivery time and cost of the transfer are key factors for this service, therefore, utilization of SWIFTNet FileAct versus normal FIN messages helps lowering the cost.
The AEG Remit-Pro application is an end to end modular solution. It is based on a main Core Module and User Interface Modules: The Front-End Module, The Web Interface Module and the Mobile Module.
Each one of the User Interface modules can be used as the transaction entry interface.
The Core Module
This is a Middleware between the Back Office
application and the Alliance System including many
components such as Reference Data, Monitoring and
Event Logging. It is designed to perform the
following:
Assuring the integration of the back-office system with
the Alliance products (gateway and Access).
Capturing the payment transactions performed in the
back-office system of the sender’s bank or through the
interface modules (mobile, Front end or web).
Checking the correctness and compliance of the
message with the worker’s Remittances Rulebook.
Storing the converted messages in a file and sending it
using the FILEAct service through the Alliance System.
Monitoring the result of the transmission.
Checking and handling the pacs 002 and
pacs004 replies messages from the
correspondent’s banks
Messages received from the correspondent will be
checked, validated and converted to the back-office
proprietary format and delivered to the back-office
applications or to the concerned branches / agents to be
executed.
Initiate pacs002 and 004 replies messages on the
received transactions.
The Front-End Module
A desk-top GUI interface to be used by the bank’s branches
and its agents through the bank’s intranet in order to
perform the following:
Creating, Modifying, Approving and Monitoring payment
transactions
Handling cash and account’s based transactions
Full integration with the Reference Data
Support of flexible workflow mechanism
AML / OFAC filtering checking through an API function
The Web Interface Module
Web based Transaction Handling Interface to facilitate
transaction entry, approval and monitoring. It functions
similarly to the front-end module using internet communication
facility.
The Mobile Module
AEG has developed a Mobile Module that will serve as a
User Interface for initiating the transactions of banked and
unbanked customers around the world.
The sender will use his mobile phone to debit his banking
account and send money to the receiver who may collect
the money in many ways:
By crediting the sent amount to the receiver’s bank account
Cash if the receiver has no bank account
By crediting the sent amount to credits cards (we can
load payments onto Pre Paid or Credit Cards)
By crediting the sent amount to the receiver’s account
with the mobile operator if agreed by the beneficiary.
