Partner's Products
EMC2

Since its foundation, AEG focuses on maintaining clients’ satisfaction by offering the best and the most indispensable solutions for their business. In addition to the successful several and pivotal affiliations, AEG developed a strong partnership with EMC to offer the Failover and disaster Recovery solutions customized for SWIFT systems on windows.

EMC is the sixth largest software company in the world. EMC’s software products enable organizations of all sizes to more efficiently and cost-effectively store, manage, protect, and share their information- from creation through archiving and final disposal. Also it monitors applications, data and services and provides reliable restart and failover mechanisms. EMC software products meet today’s requirements for information lifecycle management, a strategy that recognizes the changing value of information over time.

With mission-critical applications such as the S.W.I.F.T. interface, guaranteed up-time is essential, both for meeting customer demands and to reduce operational stress. SMART products have been researched and thoroughly tested in the practical environment prior to their release.

Autostart (SMART-HA)

It is a two-server that monitors and automates the restart process of the applications and data services on an alternate local or remote server for Windows environments. It is mainly a high-availability system customized to support SWIFT Alliance application and database to automatically failover onto the backup in the event of a failure of the primary system. The Hostname and IP address are also moved to the backup server, eliminating the need for reconfiguration of other systems or workstations. Within 5 minutes, the system can be fully operational, users and applications connecting, and messages being sent and received.

The SMART-HA software is loaded on both the Primary SWIFT Server and the Backup Server. The Alliance database and archives reside on a separate disk partition (or partitions) which are mirrored between the servers by SMART-HA via the dedicated network link (crossover cable). Initial synchronization is performed with the Alliance servers stopped, then as Alliance system is started and the database changes; the mirror link updates the backup server simultaneously.

With ‘automatic failover’ enabled, in the event of a failure on the live system, the backup server will take control of the database. It will start the Alliance Server processes, and with session keys downloaded in the database, can perform a login and select to bring up the line.

A high-speed interconnect is used to isolate mirroring traffic between the two clustered servers. Generally, this high speed interconnect is nothing more than another network segment through which SMART-HA directs all its mirroring traffic.

Major benefits:

  • Automatic failover for unattended systems

  • Reduced downtime (planned and unplanned)

  • No need to reconfigure BackOffice and/or Workstations following failover

  • Implementation (install and training) by certified AEG engineers

Replistor (SMART-DR)

SMART-DR is a top concern for many companies in case of disaster recovery, remote office data consolidation for consolidated backups, and data distribution. SMART-DR brings data recovery and protection to your Microsoft Windows environment. This easy-to-use data replication software increases the availability of your data by delivering real-time replicas to one or many locations—keeping your Windows data safe and available.

Particularly it is designed as an off-site replication solution for Alliance, and is recommended in conjunction with high-availability application “SMART-HA”, or where “SMART-HA” is not feasible. The software simply requires a dedicated remote server, and a network link to the remote site. Data changes on the prime Alliance server are captured and replicated to one, or many, recovery servers which can be located either in-house or at remote sites across any local or wide area network.

SMART-DR software is loaded on both the Primary SWIFT Server and the off-site Disaster Recovery system. The frequency of updates is configured, depending on the bandwidth between the two sites and the change rate of the database. Also it enables centralized backup operations by allowing different systems to be replicated to a single remote system. Branch and remote offices can replicate their data to a central location for backup.

Major benefits:

  • Database/archives up to point of failure available at Disaster site

  • No need for database restores, archive searches

  • Alliance Disaster invocation/test completed within minutes

  • Implementation (install and training) by certified AEG Engineers
